Journal D


           On my 12th birthday, that day was so wonderful. My parents took me and my sister to Milk stock farm in Aso. There are a lot of animals, for example, cows, dogs, sheep, pigs, and so on. That was my first visiting for me and I had wanted to go there since I was six, so I was very glad. My parents allowed me to do which I wanted to.
           First, I watched the competition of pigs. It is that visitors expect which pig gave a first prize. If you are able to guess it, you will get stuffed animal. I also expected, but I couldn’t. I was very sad then. However, my father could do, he gave me it. That was a hen and was very cute. Next, I played with a lot of dogs. They were friendly and clever. I spent many time there, because I loved dogs very much. They made me happy. We stayed until at 5 p.m.
           After that, we went to the steak shop. Steak was my favorite food then. I ate a big one which I had never eaten. When I saw it first, I was very surprised. It was most delicious in my life. We ate them with smiling, and I was very happy!!
          Finally, we ate a birthday cake in our house. Before we ate, my parents and sister sang a song of “Happy birthday“ for me. In addition, my mother lighted in candles on the cake. I put out it by blowing. The birthday cake was big and taste was very good.
          I thought celebrate is a precious of time. Everyone can feel happy and fun. I want to celebrate for someone who I like, and I also want to make someone happy like the way my parents did for me.

My favorite place is Hikarinomori. It is a big shopping mall, there are a lot of shops. There is relatively near from my house, so I often go there with my family or friends by car or buss.In food court, there takoyaki and okonomiyaki shop, udon shop, MacDonald, Omelet containing fried rice shop, Doutor coffee, and so on. I like every shop, so I can't decide which food I eat. Eventually, I often eat udon, because they are very reasonable. We can choose toppings on udon. For example, meet, tempura, fish minced and steamed, green onion, seaweed, yam, and so on. There are many kinds of toppings. To choose them is very fun for me, because we make it only myself. My best topping is kitsune and meet. Kitsune is deep-fried tofu, and its taste is very good. I always combine them.

Udon is my favorite food. I can cook it, because it is easy to cook. What I do is to boil udon and to make soup. My family also like udon. We eat them about five times a month. My mother often cook it for me. It is very good, so I am learning from her how to cook her soup. My mother also learned it from my grandmother. The soup is traditional for us, so I want to be able to cook it like my mother and grandmother. In the future, I want to teach the way of cooking it for my child.
