Seizinshiki

January 12, There was "Seijinshiki". It was the ceremony for people who are twenty.

I got up at 5 o'clock am. I had to wear "Furisode" and make up. Hurisode is kimono. My color was red. I chose that with my mother. That was my favorite. I went to the beauty salon. I waited to wear the furisode, someone sat down next to me. I watched her, and found tha she was my friend in junior high school. She and I was very surprised! We said " Long time no see1". She goes to the college in Tokyo, so she doesn't come back to Kumamoto rarely.

We talked together for waiting. She will work at beauty salon in Tokyo. That was her dream. I was very glad to hear that. I want to do my best and to take the job like her. I heard about life of Tokyo, college, recently happened. I was very fun to talk with her. I didn't be bored. We finished wearing furisode and making up. It took for about three hours. It was very long! We said " See you, and let's meet at the hall". I went to my house, and went to the hall.

I arrived at the hall, there were a lot of people. I was very surprised. I found my friends, but it was very difficult. After a few minutes, I found. My friends was very beautiful! I met a lot of friends in junior high scool, high school and university. I took a lot of pictures with them. I was very happy to meet and talk with my friends. There were friends who went to universities out of Kumamoto, so I was very glad and I enjoyed talking.

After that, my friend and I went to Shimotouri to take "Purikura". We wanted to take it with wearing furisode. There were very long lines to take purikura. We waited for about 15minutes. But taking purikura was very fun and it became my tresure.

I went to the supermarket which I did a part time job. They looked glad to see me, and gave me the wine! I was very glad. But I can't drink wine. So I want to try drinking that. I like people who work here. I thanks to them very much.

I went home, and take the brake time. I was very tired. I changed the clothes to party dress.
Next was alumni association in junior high school in hotel. I made up again!

It was started at seven p.m. There were many students and teachers! I met them for first time in years. Friends looked mature, but teachers didn't change! I was very surprised at that. It was very nostalgic. One of my friend became mother! I was very surprised. The other friend was married! I was very glad. Some friends took jobs, and went to college, and so on. They walked their own way. I felt that we were really twenty and we started walking the first step of adult.

I had the good time with them. There were a lot of pictures. I was very glad to meet and talk with them. I love my friends in junior high school, I love my hometown. We promise to hold alumniassociation five years later.

I am very fun to think about five years later. I may married, or work without marrige. I want to married...I try! My friends may marrige! or have children! I am looking forward to meet them again. How change they will be. I want to be happy.

Seizinsiki was finished. I have to learn a lot of things more. Because, I am twenty!
I don't forget the heart to thanks for my parents, family, friends. And I want to be good adult.

Essays 1-02b: Combined Draft Essays about Uni. Life

There are good facilities in their university. Its bread is very delicious, so there is always fill a lot of the students at lunchtime particularly. The apple pies are very popular. A lot of the students like it best of all the bread. The apple pies are often sold out. There are many kinds of breads. There is the bread covered with soy flour. It is very good taste, but it is always sold out in a flash so the students who go there late is difficult to buy it. Of course, other good breads are many there, like Panini, pizza, apple pie, bagel, breads filed spicy seasoned cod roe, curry, or tune. All of these are in good taste. They can't choose which breads they eat. Students are looking forward to eat them. Some friends in the same class often eat Panini and tuna bread. They told me that the combination was very good. Oh, the ice cream and soup and coffee are also sold there. Their tastes are very nice!! Students also like atmosphere there. A lot of songs are playing. They can go there by oneself. There is an intimate place.

There is the library. There is big, very clean and has wonderful conveniences. There are a lot of kinds of books. When students have a free time, they sometimes read books there. There is the study room. There are many desks, computers in that room. Students often go there to do my homework. They can study with drinking tea or juice, and we can talk with our friends, although the ordinary library is usually a quiet place. . If they don't understand the question, their friends teach you. A lot of students often go there to study for tests. Therefore, there is a good place to study, so students like the library very much. You think there is a fantastic place, don't you?

There are a lot of computers. The students do homework and enjoy their hobbies like net surfing with them in their free time. You can watch a lot of sites like YouTube and use sites which only students in this school are able to use. They also do their homework to use them. If you finish writing a report to use computer, you can print them for nothing, so it is better than to do homework in their home. They can also borrow computers, so you able to use them in your home.

Students are also able to watch DVDs. The place name is "AV CORNER." There are many kinds of DVD. For example, there are Harry Potter series, Disney, High School Musical, glee, Twilight, Hannah Montana, and more. There are many rooms to watch them. They also can watch it with their friends in a room or booth with 2 seats if they go there with a friend. It is very fun to watch DVDs with my friends, and by oneself too. You are surprised at its good place, because you can watch whatever you want to watch and there are many late and popular ones for the students. It is so fun that you wouldn't think the time when I am coming to a school while you did it.

It is not only fun, but also educational through they watch them in English not in Japanese or put English caption on them. They would be thinking the place is one of the best points of my university.

Students can also listen to music there. There are a lot of CDs. If students have no CDs of western music, they can listen to them whenever they like. It is very good to listen to western music because your English skills are improved. To listen music makes you happy. If you want to relax, you would better come here.

Other places are LAWSON that is a popular convenience store in Japan and "MARUZEN" which can buy stationary, books, snacks etc. It is a very useful place for the students as well. Books that are sold in "MARUZEN" are cheaper than other bookstores. This university is quite useful! Students should use them more! You must think so if you come there and spend your university life!

There are a lot of facilities, food services, library, computer center, and more. Students often go there.


Students always go to bakery in the lunch time with their friends. They have lunch box, but they can eat breads too. Those are very delicious. The apple pies are very popular. A lot of students like it the best of all the breads. The apple pies are often sold out. There are many kind of breads. For example, there are bagels, bread roll filled with red bean paste, curry breads, pizza, and more. In addition, there are breads of the season. Students are looking forward to eat them.  They can't choose which breads they eat. Some friends in the same class often eats panini and tuna bread. They told me that the combination was very good. Students also like atmosphere there. A lot of songs are playing. They can go there by oneself. There is an intimate place.
